This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Amazon. All opinions are 100% mine.

The Amazon Fire Kids Edition Tablet is a great device to help bring families together.

With the Fire 7 Kids Edition tablet and Fire HD 8 Kids Edition tablet the activities are endless. Families can plan photo scavenger hunts using the Kids Edition tablet camera, color together, watch videos, play with apps and more.

Amazon Fire Kids Tablet

It’s no secret my daughter and I have fun in the kitchen.

We use our  Fire 7 Kids Edition tablet to look up simple recipes we can make together. It’s durable, bright and light making it the perfect way to reference recipes. Plus, it has a two year worry free warranty so if my daughter breaks it or anything happens to it, they will replace it for free!  Which is great because we tend to get messy in the kitchen, but that’s okay because we are making fun memories.

Amazon Fire Kids Edition Tablet

I find recipes online using our tablet because it’s convenient and the bright display helps my old eyes read it clearly.  I like to find recipes that have photos so my daughter can easily follow along.

Amazon Fire Kids Edition Tablet

We recently made Banana Sushi Bites with hazelnut spread together. Eating them was just as fun as making them.

Someone couldn’t help herself from licking the spoon. I don’t remember seeing that step on the recipe, but I can’t say I don’t blame her.

Amazon Fire Kids Edition Tablet

Amazon Fire Kids Edition Tablet

Peace of mind for parents

As a parent of little kids, I worry about a lot of things when it comes to their safety and what they are exposed to through technology. I also don’t want my kids to spend hours on their devices.

Parents can personalize screen time limits, set goals, and filter appropriate content. Plus, manage web browsing and content usage based on child’s age. Your child can only access the tablet during specified times designated by you.

Amazon FreeTime

I can log in to the Amazon Parent Dashboard at any time I see how long my daughter has been on her tablet and what activities she is spending most of her time on.

Amazon Parent Dashboard

Parents have more productive conversations about whatever it is the child is engaging with at the time. For some applications, there are conversation starters and questions parents can ask. It’s a great way to take learning one step further and apply lessons in real-life situations. Discussion Cards enables parents to discover the titles their kids enjoy and connect with them through rich conversation.

Amazon Parent Dashboard Conversation Starter

The Amazon Fire 7 Kids Edition tablet includes a 2-year worry-free guarantee, kid-proof case, and a one-year subscription to Amazon FreeTime Unlimited.

The entertainment options are endless. So are the delicious recipes we can find online.  I look forward to exploring more creative ways we can spend family time together by using our Amazon tablet.

Road Trip time to visit our partners at @kalaharir Road Trip time to visit our partners at @kalahariresorts in #RoundRockTX. We have been anxiously waiting the opening of this brand new resort that hosts a variety of family activities including America’s Largest Indoor Waterpark. For the first day, we explored, played in the huge and spacious arcade known as Tom Foolery’s Adventure Park. Also visited Cinco Ninos for dinner! If you are looking for a weekend trip definitely consider it! It’s very clean and I’ve seen the staff stay on top of safety precautions (so far). Happy New Year! This year was tough but we are so Happy New Year! This year was tough but we are so thankful for the extra time we spent together as a family. 2020 taught me a lot about myself and what kind of life I want to live right now and once the pandemic is over. Last year we hosted a party on NYE and I’m sure we opened a portal to this chaos. This year is much different. Tonight we will most likely be in bed by 10 pm and I am okay with that! We are currently in mismatched jammies at 5 pm. 😜 Cheers to a new year and whatever that will look like! I’m not picking a new word nor am I doing resolutions for the first time in years. I have no expectations but keeping hope alive that things will get better and we can gather and hug once again soon. Praying for those who are hurting and struggling right now. Things will get better... they simply have to! Let’s go, 2021.
