Our Summer tour of hotel fun has come to an end. School starts soon. Our mommy/daughter trip to @greatwolflodge is ✅. Can I just say this trip made me realize a few things: I am out of shape and going up the stairs with the tubes made that very clear. The majority of folks staying here did not know the concept of social distancing. I worked on my nasty glare through my eyes while wearing my mask. Overall, we had fun and my daughter got to be a kid. First time on a gondola and chair lift. I’m fully aware that is a bit weird. I’ll admit I never had the desire to go skiing or go to the mountains. I chose the beach over it every time. This summer husband convinced me and I let him take the wheel (literally). I’m glad I got to experience Colorado Springs and Breckenridge in the Summer away from Texas heat. Who knows maybe I will come back to go skiing one day. 2020 may be a lot of bad things but it’s forcing me outside my comfort zone and I have to admit... I like it. We explored the Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs. We could’ve spent all day here as there is so much to explore! We only hiked a few trails but there are several to choose from. We saw people horseback riding too! Definitely will have to come back with the kids are older to do that and ride our bikes through this scenic and free park! 😷FYI - masks are required outdoors. When you are this high in the sky, you forget about all the world’s stresses and simply take in the beauty of nature. We decided to take a road trip to @cityofcos. First stop - Pike’s Peak. It’s absolutely stunning! We drove up the mountain to experience being 14,100 feet above sea level. What an experience!!! I’ll post some videos on my IG stories if you are curious!
