Snowman pretzels are so easy to make!

Let’s face it the holidays can be a stressful time. I recommend taking advantage of Tom Thumb’s Grocery Delivery and DriveUp & Go™ service. With a few clicks of the mouse, you can order groceries in minutes and have them delivered straight to your front doorstep – saving you precious time.

Snowman pretzel ingredients and supplies

  • Signature SELECT™ Pretzel O Rings
  • Strawberry fruit roll ups
  • Melted white chocolate or bright white candy melts
  • orange sprinkles
  • Decorating black icing
  • black sugar pearls
  • Cookie sheet lined with Signature SELECT Wax Paper
  • Microwave bowl
  • Optional: Tweezers to place the candy pieces on the face.

Let me highlight two Tom Thumb products that make this Snowman Pretzel treats come to life.

Signature SELECT™ O Rings

The Signature SELECT O Rings are the foundation of this recipe. Not only can you make a snowman, but you can also get creative and make reindeer, Santa’s, and more holiday characters by using different colored candy melts. Also, these pretzel rings make wonderful snacks by themselves. My kids love them!

Signature SELECT Wax Paper

I stock up on Signature SELECT Wax paper during the holiday season when our baking season is in full swing. We love to spoil our friends and friends with our dessert creations. The wax paper is microwaveable and non-stick.

How to make Snowman Pretzels

First, heat candy melts or white chocolate in 30-second increments until smooth. Don’t overcook the mixture or it can turn pasty.

Tip: Add 1/2 tsp. shortening or coconut oil to candy mixture to liquefy more making it easier to fill rings.

Place melted candy in a decorating bag and cut the tip with scissors.

Next, sort pretzels into pairs Cut fruit rolls into small pieces. I folded the fruit roll ups in half sideways. Place the paired pretzels on top of the fruit like shown below.

Pretzels

Next, using a decorating bag or spoon, place melted candy in between pretzels to secure them together.

Now, fill in the pretzels with the melted candy. Flatten the candy as much as possible before it hardens.

Place the black sprinkles to make the snowman have eyes and buttons on the bottom pretzel. Carefully place the orange sprinkle on the snowman’s nose. Tip: Use tweezers to place these edible decor items for a steadier hand.

Using black icing, draw a smile on the snowman’s face.

Get creative with your snowmen! Ours came complete with smiles!

Pretzel Treats

After the snowman is decorated, tie the scarf piece together by twisting the pieces on top of each other. There is no wrong way to design the scarves.

Finally, place the cookie sheet with the candy pieces into the refrigerator and chill for at least eight minutes or when the candy is hardened.

Happy New Year! This year was tough but we are so Happy New Year! This year was tough but we are so thankful for the extra time we spent together as a family. 2020 taught me a lot about myself and what kind of life I want to live right now and once the pandemic is over. Last year we hosted a party on NYE and I’m sure we opened a portal to this chaos. This year is much different. Tonight we will most likely be in bed by 10 pm and I am okay with that! We are currently in mismatched jammies at 5 pm. 😜 Cheers to a new year and whatever that will look like! I’m not picking a new word nor am I doing resolutions for the first time in years. I have no expectations but keeping hope alive that things will get better and we can gather and hug once again soon. Praying for those who are hurting and struggling right now. Things will get better... they simply have to! Let’s go, 2021.
