KidZania USA is an indoor city run by kids for kids located in Frisco, TX at Stonebriar Centre! It’s a theme park that teaches kids essential life skills through role-playing activities. I admit I was skeptical about my first time visiting, but after experiencing it firsthand, I am a big fan of the new Kidzania. Here’s what you can expect at this one-of-a-kind family attraction located in the heart of North Texas.
I love that my kids can learn through role-play. It’s an immersive experience unlike anything I have seen in our area – and that says a lot with the number of fun things for kids to do in Dallas. Kids are learning while having fun away from tablets, gaming devices, and television. Honestly, I am jealous I didn’t grow up with something like this.
I was given complimentary passes but all opinions are my own and are 100% honest.

Know before you go: KidZania USA
Inside KidZania, kids can try out different careers in a safe place. Each industry has a special area like a storefront where kids go inside and try out different jobs.
Where is KidZania USA located?
This spot is the company’s first United States location. KidZania Dallas is now open at Stonebriar Centre in Frisco, TX. It’s located on the second floor of the Stonebriar Centre near the Dillard’s wing and across from the kid play area.
What are KidZania USA’s operating hours?
Seasonal and holiday hours may vary – please check their website for the latest park hours as they change quite frequently.
How much does KidZania cost?
The number one question I get asked is “Is it worth the price?” That being said, KidZania recently changed their pricing for an all-day pass (subject to change) to the following: (updated July 2022)
- Children Under 4 Years: FREE
- Toddlers: 4-5 Years: $16.95
- Children 6-14 Years: $44.95
- Adults 15+ Years: $14.95
Keep in mind parents can drop off kids 8 and up and shop in the mall or hang out elsewhere. Kids are given RFID security bracelets with GPS tracking devices. They can not leave without that assigned parent with them. Kids 8 years old and under must be accompanied by a guardian and remain in the city at all times.
Tickets can be pre-purchased online or at the counter if space is available.
Is it worth the price?
Back to the question of whether this experience is worth the ticket prices. My honest opinion is yes, it is worth the expense. After seeing all the hands-on real-life experiences my six-year-old experienced, I was convinced. The attention to detail is incredible. All areas are super clean and the employees are polite and highly engaged with the children. Surely, this level of service will stick beyond the opening season. The company culture is positive and 100% focused on empowering kids to take on various roles and responsibilities throughout the city.
Is there an annual pass?
No, there is not an option to purchase annual passes. However, they do offer a B•KidZanian PaZZport membership program that offers perks and benefits. Parents can sign-up for their kids at the PaZZport Office.
Things to do at KidZania
When you arrive at KidZania, you will find yourself at our Airport check-in area. When you check in, kids and adults receive an RFID security bracelet with GPS tracking device. Once inside KidZania USA, kids and parents can explore the city. There are over 100+ occupations to choose from. At each location, kids get paid kidZos (KidZania’s currency). With this money, they can spend, save or invest. There is a gift shop where kids can use their kidZos to spend money. Note: There is also a KidZania merchandise store that takes real money at check out.
Young minds can try out independently role-play authentic professions such as:
Actor, Chef, Doctor, Fire Fighter, News Anchor, Optometrist, Airline Pilot, Podcaster, Police Officer, and Veterinarian
Businesses and Industries include the Airport, Aviation Academy, Bank, Dental Clinic, Eye Care Center, Fire Station, Hospital, Podcast Studio, Restaurants, Sports Training Center, Theater, and TV Station!
What do parents do during their visit to KidZania USA?
One of the goals of KidZania is to teach children how to be independent thinkers. Parents are asked to sit outside and either watch or find something else to do. Each activity takes approx. 20 minutes. Coming from someone who has worked with children, I think this concept is great. Parents can still see their kids through the glass from a distance to take photos. After each experience, my daughter filled me in on what they learned. I didn’t feel left out at all. I took a few moments to walk around and enjoy my cup of coffee in peace. It was nice!
Parents can also take advantage of the Parent Lounge located on the second floor or frequent any of the restaurants on-site. Dining options include Pie Five Pizza, MOOYAH Burger, Happy Taco, 7-Eleven, and more, where cash and credit cards are accepted.
There are plenty of benches and tables for parents to take a break. I will go back and work while my daughter plays. With the tracking devices located in their bracelets, parents can check in with staff who will locate the last activity their kids enrolled in.
Is KidZania good for toddlers?
Initially, my answer was no because the price was too expensive for the experience. There is a Toddler Neighborhood area for them to play in the grocery store and a few other areas. Knowing my toddler gets bored easily, he would’ve been done in less than an hour and wanted to chase his older sibling around. I opted to leave him home so I could fully focus on my six-year-old daughter. I think KidZania is best suited for kids 5 and up or mature four-year-olds. Now that kids under four years old are free, I may bring back my little man while my daughter finishes the activities she did not get to during the first visit.
What are the dining options at Kidzania?
Once inside, Kidzania visitors can enjoy food from establishments such as 7-Eleven and Pie Five Pizza. No outside food and/or drinks are permitted inside.
Can you host a birthday party at KidZania Frisco?
On the second floor, there are plenty of party rooms. Contact birthdays.dallas@kidzaniausa.com for more information.
Are there other Kidzania locations?
Yes, there are over 25 Kidzania facilities over the world including Mexico City. Future locations include New York and Chicago!
Conclusion
Our mommy/daughter date went well on opening day. I have heard from customers that they are short on staff (like most establishments during this time) which has led to long waiting times for each activity. If you can visit during non-peak times, do it. My daughter had the time of her life. I do not recommend this place for kids 4 and younger as they may not be ready to play without the direct supervision of their parents. The concept and scenery are incredible. Kids 6 – 13 will really benefit from this unique play establishment.
