Delicious 4th of July Food is a Must-Have
Looking to offer something fun and tasty at your next Fourth of July party? Watch how easy it is to make red, white, and blue popcorn.
There is so many fun July 4th food ideas out there. However, this red, white, and blue popcorn has to be one of the easiest for one simple reason.
Red, White and Blue Popcorn: Ingredients
There are only a handful of ingredients required to make red, white, and blue popcorn.
Gather your ingredients: Popcorn, red, white and blue candy melts, chocolate candies, and sprinkles. You can use icing bags to spread the icing or make a DIY bag using sandwich bags. You will need a cookie sheet and parchment paper. I use these parchment cookie sheets because they are pre-cut and make my life easier.
How to make Patriotic Popcorn: A 4th of July Food Treat
I always like to put on my custom chef apron to avoid getting my clothes messy. First, lay out the entire bag of popcorn on a cookie sheet. Set aside.
Meanwhile, place 1/4 cup of each candy melt color in microwavable bowls. Melt each bowl for 45 seconds and mix with a spoon until smooth.
Place each melted color mixture into a sandwich bag or an icing bag. I cut the corner of the sandwich bag and then squeeze it to make the icing come out. Spread throughout the popcorn. Repeat with the other colors.
Immediately following, toss the chocolate candies and sprinkles throughout the popcorn.
Next, place the cookie sheet in the fridge for at least fifteen minutes or until the chocolate hardens on top.
Then, remove from the fridge, tear popcorn apart and place in cups, bowls or treat bags. Enjoy!
