This chili hits the spot when it comes to craving a hearty meal. Keep it as is or customize this easy chili recipe with various toppings such as sour cream, cheese and corn chips.
Simple Chili Ingredients
1 lb. ground chili beef
1 teaspoon of chopped garlic
1 teaspoon of chili powder
1 can (14.5 oz) Red Gold Diced Tomatoes (Chili Ready), undrained
1 can (6 oz) Red Gold Tomato Paste
1 can Red Gold Original Petite Diced Tomatoes with Green chilies, undrained
1 small onion, chopped
1 red bell pepper, diced
1 can (15 oz) of ranch style beans, undrained
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 teaspoon granulated sugar
1 cup water
Optional toppings: sour cream, grated cheddar cheese, diced green onions, crushed corn chips.
Easy chili recipe instructions
- Cook chili ground beef over medium-high heat. Add onion, garlic, and chili powder. Cook until meat is browned. Drain grease.
- Add beans, Red Gold diced tomatoes and diced peppers, Red Gold tomato paste, water, sugar and bell pepper.
- Bring to boil. Reduce heat to low. Simmer uncovered for 10 minutes stirring throughout.
- For variety, add sour cream, grated cheddar cheese, diced green onions, and crushed corn chips.
