This is a Halloween slime recipe without Borax and it’s quick and easy. It’s one of my favorite Halloween science experiments for kids.
What is Halloween slime?
This slime is simple to make but beautiful on the eyes. The orange glitter really shines through the slime substance.
Supplies
- 1 bottle of Elmer’s Washable Glitter Glue (orange)
- 1/4 cup of Sta Flo liquid starch
- Spoon
- Clear plastic jars – to store the slime
- One medium bowl
Supply Notes
- Glitter glue colors – purchase purple and green glitter glue to make different Halloween-colored slimes. Follow the same recipe to make a variety of slime colors.
- Glow in the Dark Slime – Make the slime glow in the dark with this orange glow-in-the-dark liquid glue! Replace it with clear glitter glue.
How to make glitter glue slime for Halloween
- First, add the glitter glue to a bowl and get ready to mix with a spoon.

3. Knead the slime for 5-10 minutes well after mixing. It helps improve the form.
Expert Tips
- Is Slime too sticky? Add a few drops of liquid starch slowly. Remember you can always add, but you can’t take any ingredients away. If you add too much the slime could become very stiff.
- Take slime to the next level Use three different colors to make three batches of slime. Swirl them together to make a unique Halloween slime that is multi-colored.
