How to make floam slime
Making floam slime is very similar to making slime with a few additions! This is a Borax-free floam slime recipe!
- First, mix the water, glue, and baking soda in a bowl. Stir until mixed well.
2. Next, pour the floam beads into the bowl and mix.
3. Now it’s time to activate the slime! Pour 1/2 tablespoon saline solution into the bowl and add another 1/2 tablespoon into the bowl. Mix well and slowly to avoid the floam beads flying all over the place.
4. Next, knead for 5-10 minutes. It will be sticky at the beginning of this process.
5. Last, cut out eyes and mouths using black foam paper. Hot glue them to the front of the jar.
Expert Tips
- Is Slime too sticky? Add baking soda gradually. Remember you can always add, but you can’t take any ingredients away.
- Is slime too stiff? This can happen from over-activating the slime with the contact solution. Next time, add less contact solution. Add it in slowly and knead a lot.
- Is sticky hands a problem? Pour a few drops of saline solution on your hands before kneading to avoid the mixture sticking to your hands. Another option is to apply lotion or baby oil onto your hands before kneeding with hands.
- Foam beads keep falling out! Your slime isn’t sticky enough – try again and add less contact solution. Add the foam beads after activation.
