Disney sent me to Los Angeles on an all-expenses-paid press trip, in exchange for my coverage of the Cars3 digital and Blu-ray release. All opinions are my own.
Visiting Cars Land is everything I could have imagined! Kids and adults alike are destined to have a spooktacular time visiting Disneyland during Halloween.
For the first time, Cars Land is fully decked out for Haul-O-Ween.
Speaking of firsts, this was my very first time to visit Disneyland and Disney California Adventure.
I could have spent days there exploring, eating delicious treats and simply taking it all in. You will be completely immersed in the magic of Cars Land with the sights and sounds of these beloved characters.
I can’t wait to take my family back one day to see their eyes light up with excitement. It’s that special!
At Cars Land guests can see “Cars” characters in their car-stumes during September 15 through October 31. I saw Mater in his vampire costume and Lightning McQueen as a Superhero.
Everything You Need to Know about Haul-o-Ween at Cars Land
Festive Feels
Radiator Springs transforms into Radiator Screams complete with incredibly detailed Halloween decor. There is a good chance you will run into your favorite Cars characters decked out in their Halloween car-stumes.
At every turn, visitors will see creativity at its best. Disney knows how to transport guests into a different world. Cars Land is no different especially during Haul-O-Ween with fun seasonal decor.
Character sightings
There are plenty of photo opportunities with the residents of Radiator Springs. Lightning McQueen and Mater’s favorite rest stop is just in front of the Cozy Cone Motel.
Have your camera ready because you might spot Cruz cruising along the main strip of Cars Land. Also, when you add the Disney MaxPass feature to your ticket, you’ll be able to download, save and share all of your Disney PhotoPass photos captured during an entire day.
Make a pit stop
Fill your tank at Flo’s V8 Cafe with classic American cuisine. Rotisserie-style dinners, house-made pies, milkshakes, and memorabilia make Flo’s V8 Café a priority pit stop.
All of Flo’s delicious eats are served up quickly, so you can fuel up before you head back out for more fun!
Order special Haul-O-Ween menu items like the Candy Corn Pie. It’s too pretty to eat but you must do so… after you take an Instagram-worthy photo of course!
Rides for all ages
In addition to the sights and scenes of Cars Land, guests can satisfy their need for speed or simply cruise with various amusement rides. Remember, when you purchase the Disney MaxPass feature, you’ll be able to make FASTPASS selections right from your phone using the Disneyland app. (Note: Radiator Springs Racers is the only ride in Cars Land with the FASTPASS option)
Race through the desert landscape of Cars Land with this classic ride. We had a great time racing the other car beside us. This ride cruises and also picks up speed at certain points. The scenery at night is mesmerizing!
Luigi knows how to throw a dance party! An overall fun ride for kids and adults. This is a fun ride to watch as all the cars are synchronized to dance alike.
Another dance party complete with spinning hosted by fan favorite Mater. Except lots of laughter.
GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY ride Mission: BREAKOUT!
Teens and adults can cruise outside of Cars Land to this popular thrill seeker ride. It is themed out to Halloween with the new name “Monsters After Dark”! It guarantees big Drops and can be loud. I survived riding it but some of my fellow friends opted to not ride. I loved it, but if you have a weak stomach consider skipping this.
Nighttime Vibes
Once the sun sets, Cars Land magically transforms into a Halloween hotspot that your eyes shy away from. I caught myself standing in the street in awe. There is so much detail that goes into each attraction.
Make a pit stop at Cars Land for Haul-O-Ween fun through October 31, 2017!

About Cars 3
Blindsided by a new generation of blazing-fast racers, the legendary Lightning McQueen (voice of Owen Wilson) is suddenly pushed out of the sport he loves. To get back in the game, he will need the help of an eager young race technician, Cruz Ramirez (voice of Cristela Alonzo), with her own plan to win, plus inspiration from the late Fabulous Hudson Hornet and a few unexpected turns. Proving that #95 isn’t through yet will test the heart of a champion on Piston Cup Racing’s biggest stage! Directed by Brian Fee (storyboard artist “Cars,” “Cars 2“) and produced by Kevin Reher (“A Bug’s Life,” “La Luna” short).
