Wine cork ornaments are so much fun to make. Since I have plenty of wine corks saved (no judging) I decided to put them to good use to create a Reindeer ornament that is adorable. It’s so simple to make! Follow these easy instructions below to make a variety of reindeers including Rudolph the red nose reindeer!
How to make a reindeer wine cork ornament
You can make your own collection of wine cork reindeers by following these easy steps.
DIY wine cork ornament supplies
- (2) full wine corks (Tip: if you don’t have any wine corks, you can purchase them here in bulk).
- (1) wine cork cut in half longways for the legs (Tip: Use a sharp knife for this)
- (1) wine cork cut in half sideways for the neck
- (2) Googly eyes
- (1) Red Pom-pom
- Ribbon
- Button
- Brown pipe cleaners
- Glue Gun with glue
Wine Cork Craft instructions
First, glue the long legs onto one normal-sized wine cork. Then, attach the half cork on top of the regularly sized cork for Rudolf’s neck. Finally, attach another regular-sized cork to the top for the head. (See picture below)
Glue a red pom-pom to the front of the wine work for his nose.
Glue two eyes on top.
Bend a brown pipe cleaner in half and glue to the back of the head for his antlers
Cut a small piece of brown pipe cleaner for his tail and glue it to the backside of the wine cork
To add a scarf, take a small red ribbon (or whatever color you choose) and wrap it around Rudolf’s neck. Glue together so it stays secure. To add some flair, glue a white button on top of the ribbon-like shown below. If you want to make it an ornament, simply glue a ribbon or twine to the neck in a circle to hang on the tree!

These are so cute! I’m not sure I am understanding where to put the twine to make it an ornament. I also love the cork trees! Such great upcycled crafts! Thanks for sharing!

Hi Amy, Thanks for stopping by! You are totally right, mom brain here – I forgot to take a photo of it on my tree. I took some ribbon and glued it to the back of Rudolf’s head to make a loop to hang it on the tree. Hope that makes sense!
