Thank you Ford for loaning the 2016 Lincoln Navigator complimentary for our family road trip. All opinions are my own.
The Lincoln Navigator saved our extended family from driving multiple cars to a recent road trip to Canyon Lake, Texas. There’s something extremely entertaining about piling my parents and my family together on a 4 hour drive. There’s always something to laugh (or cry) about with this makeup of individuals. Never a dull moment for sure!
With four adults and one toddler in tow, we drove comfortably with our 2 ice chests, 2 pieces of luggage and lake gear. Sure, it took some packing experimentation and putting down half of the 3rd row, but we made it there and back without having to put anything on the top of the vehicle.
Check out all of the cup holders!
Yes, we had to bust out the phone for little one towards the end of the road trip. No judging now.
The 3rd row doesn’t feel as cramped as you would think because of the large windows throughout the vehicle – perfect for seeing the spectacular views of Canyon Lake and Gruene Tx.
There are so many breathtaking moments you don’t want to miss. The rolling hills, crystal clear water, and luscious green trees are a sight to be seen. It’s not unusual to see deer acting like pets either.
On the way to Canyon Lake we opted for the less traveled route going through Meridian, Marble Falls, and Lampasas, TX. It was perfect for skipping the hustle and bustle of Austin.
Returning home to Dallas, we went the traditional route traveling on I-35 because who can skip an opportunity to visit Bucee’s.
Safety is always a concern when it comes to traveling with loved ones. The Lincoln Navigator has six standard airbags. A rollover sensor activates the side-curtain airbags in the event of a rollover or certain side-impact collision. A rear view camera is just one of the many impressive standard features you’ll find on Lincoln Navigator.
Without the 2016 Lincoln Navigator, our family would have had to drive two vehicles to Canyon Lake. That’s not fun and it’s a waste of gas! We averaged an impressive 17.5 miles per gallon with city/highway mileage on our travels considering how loaded down we were and how much room was available. And the power was definitely not lacking with the 3.5L Twin Turbo EcoBoost® V6.
The Ladies also love the 2016 Lincoln Navigator
Prior to our family road trip excursion, the Lincoln Navigator was perfect for our Girls Night Out to see Bad Moms. Don’t worry, we did not drive around town like crazy moms! Amy with Mainly Homemade, my friend Brooke, and I arrived to the movie theatre in style and comfort.
There’s always something magical or somewhat maddening traveling with your entire family. So many memories are made that you simply cannot miss out on. Consider the 2016 Lincoln Navigator for family adventures (or Ladies Night Outs) you will never forget.
