Tie-dye projects are all the rage right now and are trending thanks to the quarantine. If you are looking for fun things to tie-dye, look no further. Many of these projects are fun indoor activities that families can also do together.
What supplies are needed to make Tie Dye projects?
Each tie-dye activity requires different supplies, but for many, all is needed is a tie dye kit that comes with everything. That is what we used when we decided to tie-dye our t-shirts for the Summer.
How do you wash a tie dye item for the first time?
It’s important that you rinse out the unreacted dye and wash in a washing machine before wearing it. Make sure that you wash the tie-dye item in the washing machine with nothing else. You can wash other tie-dye items in that load, but do not place anything in it that you do not want dye on it. Wash in cold water and normal soap detergent. Then, after the fabric or material has been washed, you can wash wash and dry them with other clothing items.
What other items could I tie dye?
I’ve seen tie-dye sweatpants, sweaters, hats, and jeans! Get creative with your skills and see what you can come up with! Once you get past how messy it can get you will enjoy seeing all the different tie-dye masterpieces you create.
