When we were invited to SeaWorld’s AdventureCon15 for our first family blog conference, I was thrilled as I had heard it’s a great blogging conference, but I was not so sure I would find many things for my toddler to enjoy. Boy, was I wrong!
There are several things to do at SeaWorld for Toddlers, many of which will hold your toddler’s attention longer than a few minutes. Bonus – she was super tired and slept great after each day at SeaWorld.
Things to do at SeaWorld for Toddlers
This area includes a huge playground, a toddler play area in the shade and plenty of little tike type rides and attractions.
Big Bird’s Spinning Reef
My little one’s first ride! It was able to fit myself, husband and daughter in one egg! She loved it.
Ride the Carousel
She could’ve ridden this a thousand times if we let her!
Snap a few photos with Sesame Street friends
I couldn’t resist snapping one myself. These guys make an appearance throughout the day after their shows. Get in line fast though, because their handlers aren’t afraid to tell you when the last of the line is. I almost missed our photo taking opportunity twice! You may use PhotoKey account to download professional photos taken by the park staff that you can cherish for a lifetime.
A Shaded Toddler Playground amongst the “big-kid” rides
While Dad and brother were riding The Steel Eel and other rollercoasters, we took a moment to play in an interactive and shaded playground with other toddlers. Simple, yet effective!
Buy a Shamu Bubble Machine
Because they sell them everywhere and your kid will want one, so just do it. Well played, Seaworld.
Watch a show
Catch any of SeaWorld’s shows especially Clyde’s and Seamore’s Sea Lion High Show. There are several throughout the day. The Sea Lion Stadium is very colorful and fun to look at! My little one made a few other toddler friends once they got bored with the show.
Stroll around and people watch – Toddlers can lounge in their stroller and munch on fabulous snacks while people watching!
Schedule an animal tour and meet animals including the Sea Lions.

SeaWorld Aquatica Waterpark Aquatica Waterpark
This park has many water features that are great for entertaining toddlers including splash pads and interactive animal encounters. We did not have a chance to enjoy this feature, because we were going and going, but had we stayed one more day we definitely would have enjoyed this park. Rent a cabana for added privacy.
Your child can feed the birds while you entertain them by having a few birds on your head.
There are many family photo opportunities throughout the park – This is more for the parent’s enjoyment as some children hate to take photos.
Where to stay while visiting Seaworld San Antonio
Stay at the nearby Marriot Courtyard Marriot Courtyard SeaWorld – Go swimming in their awesome pool that has a few splash features in the shallow end. This hotel is very family friendly, so if your toddler has a meltdown, no one will judge you because most likely their children will join yours at some point in a tantrum.

Take a photo with Shamu
He happened to be at the hotel we were staying at, but I bet you could find him at the park.
We will definitely be back in future years and it will be fun to see what other fun activities she can grow into! Thanks, SeaWorld for our first ‘real’ family park experience!
