This a sponsored post in partnership with The Little Gym and The Motherhood
One of the best things about being a mother is watching your kids discover new things.
Watching them get excited about things that seem so simple to us.
It’s a bittersweet feeling seeing our tiny humans grow into big kids.
Knowing that they grow so fast, I want to try new things and spend quality time with my baby boy.
But what to do is the question?
Say hello to The Little Gym!
The Little Gym offers unique, educational, movement-based classes for children 4 months through 12 years. It’s the perfect way to bond with your baby if you are into parent/child classes.
From parent-child to grade school gymnastics classes, the curriculum is designed to facilitate ongoing skill development and maximum fun for kids 4 months – 12 years. I love that it’s a clean indoor facility with a flexible class schedule that is close to home. They have locations nationwide.
Upon arriving, we were greeted with a personalized sign and left with a photo keepsake. How thoughtful is that? You know how I love documenting these moments.
What is The Little Gym?
The Little Gym embraces a proprietary philosophy called Three-Dimensional Learning, in which physical activity is a conduit for nurturing your whole child. The Three-Dimensional Learning approach to skill development means that every class we offer fosters growth in three holistic dimensions—Brain Boost!, Get Moving! and Citizen Kid! In every dimension, self-confidence and a proud smile are evident outcomes.
Get Moving! Physical activities to burn that boundless energy, plus build flexibility and strength, develop balance and coordination, and encourage agility, rhythm and overall fitness to launch a lifetime of healthy habits.
Brain Boost! Designed to expand the mind and develop a love of learning, these exercises foster listening skills, sustained concentration and decision-making, prepare for or reinforce school lessons, and nurture problem-solving ability and creative expression.
Citizen Kid! Activities that teach life skills like sharing, working in a group, listening and leadership–all skills that translate to a well-adjusted, well-rounded superkid.
What I loved about The Little Gym
Safe, clean and fun environment
In the midst of flu season, going out in public can feel scary. I was very impressed with how clean the facility is. The staff made sure that nobody wore shoes and that all the equipment was cleaned prior and after class. The Little Gym is colorful, bright and simply fun. There are so many things kids can do from bouncing on matts, hanging on to the bars and walking on the balance beam!
Professional staff that encourages learning
Listen, I have been to many kids activity places where I can tell the staff just isn’t into their job. During our visit, I genuinely felt that the staff enjoyed their job and most importantly working with children. With each activity the instructor explained how it benefited my son’s development.
Toys, music and balls galore
The best part: I didn’t have to pick up all the toys! My son loved playing with the musical instruments and the balls of course!
Smiles galore
The great thing about parent/child classes is I am right there every step of the way. Watching my son laugh, smile and learn new things is priceless.
