Q-Tip Painting is one of my favorite kids’ activities! You can literally throw the q-tips away after each use instead of slaving in front of a sink washing each paintbrush one-by-one.
(I promise I am not always this lazy. I don’t have much time to waste these days since we put our house on the market last weekend! More like stab me with a q-tip! ha)
Not to mention that Q-Tip painting keeps kids entertained for a long span of time. (Don’t ask me to define a long span of time as my idea of a long time is probably much shorter than you would imagine. My daughter has a very short attention span!)

See how hard my daughter is concentrating on holding the q-tip? That is called fine motor skills in action. Take that pediatrician! 🙂
Simply bust out a few Q-Tips out of your bathroom drawers, squeeze some washable paint on a large piece of paper or paper plate and watch your child create a masterpiece!
Once your kid’s masterpiece dries consider creating a framing the Q-Tip Painting to display within your home.
If your child(ren) need more direction and are getting bored with freehand painting, consider printing Q-Tip printables for your child to work on. These FREE Disney Frozen Q-Tip Painting Printables are perfect for teaching your child how to write letters while also having fun with paint!
Reese enjoys any activity that makes a complete mess, but that is okay! I enjoy watching her explore her creative side no matter how much mess she makes. Plus, these types of activities improve fine motor skills which is all the rage, right?
What’s your favorite arts and craft activity to play with your little ones?
