Air Fryer Sausage Balls Recipe
This air fryer recipe only requires three ingredients and a few minutes to cook a dozen sausage balls at a time. They make great appetizers at holiday gatherings.
Ingredients
- 1 lb Hot Breakfast Sausage
- 2 cups Sharp Cheddar Cheese (shredded)
- 4 cups Bisquick
Instructions
- Mix sausage, cheese and Bisquick. Mix with a spoon or use a mixer with a meathook attachment.
- Roll mixture into walnut size balls.
- Place a dozen balls or so into the Air Fryer Toaster oven at a time. (Mine pictured below was a little bit bigger than I would have liked. Next batch I made the sausage balls smaller.
- Bake at 390 degrees for 5-7 minutes turning often to get even heat all around.
- Allow sausage balls to cool for a few minutes before serving.
How long can sausage balls be frozen?
You can freeze these sausage balls for up to 6 months in a freezer container before serving.
How to reheat sausage balls
I like to reheat frozen sausage balls in the oven at 350 degrees for 25 minutes. You can place in a microwave for 10 seconds per ball or in a slow cooker on low heat for several hours.
How long can cooked sausage balls be stored?
Cooked sausage balls can be stored in an air-tight container for up to five days.
