Safari Run Plano invited Modern Mom Life to a special media preview event and provided the giveaway prize for today’s post so we can let our readers know about this new active family entertainment venue. All opinions are my own.
We are in the midst of a hot and humid Summer with temperatures reaching 100 degrees and it’s tempting to stay indoors with the A/C running on full blast. While chilling and having lazy Summer Days are my idea of having a good time, I know that my daughter is itching to get outside and get active even if I don’t want to do so on these uncomfortably hot days. That’s where a new fitness-based family entertainment venue called Safari Run Plano comes in to save the day and a parent’s sanity when the kids are complaining about ‘being bored’ indoors.
Opening Sunday, June 18th this one-of-a-kind indoor play gym lets kids go wild on their highly entertaining and extremely active environment. The family-friendly attraction with a safari theme provides fun play and activities for children of all ages. Yes, I said, “all ages” because I was also able to explore the playground and get competitive at the arcade. Why wasn’t Safari Run around when I was a kid?
Safari Run makes it easy for families to pop in at their leisure. Simply sign the digital waiver once and you are in the system for quick check-ins because in my experience kids aren’t the best at waiting. Reese did wait, but I could tell she was itching and desperate to get in on the fun! Parents can drop in with children for open play, and admission is charged per hour.
The activities inside Safari Run includes the Open Play area (big mazes, climbing tunnels, giant slides), a running track, an arcade, fitness classes, a separate toddler area and a parent’s lounge.
Safari Run highlights:
Private birthday parties: Enjoy a safari-themed birthday party for groups of up 45 (beginning August 1, 2016)
Fitness classes are offered throughout the year. The classes teach children manners, facts about the human body and nutrition and fitness skills. Each class is specifically designed for a different age group. (Select classes will also include the parents.)
During camp, children will have the chance to learn about health and fitness through interactive games. Camps will be available in the summer and during holiday breaks.
