Depending on peanut butter allergies in your child’s classroom, consider gifting this treat with a clever Valentine’s Day gift tag. This is one recipe my kids have no problem making. It’s that easy to make. They may have been sneaking a few bites, but admittedly I was as well.

Valentine’s Day Dessert Treat: Puppy Chow
What do you need to make Valentine’s Day Puppy Chow?
- 9 cups Rice Chex Mix
- 1/2 cup Peanut Butter
- 1 cup Powdered Sugar
- 1 cup Peanut Butter or regular M&Ms
- 1/2 cup of Sprinkles
- 4 tbsp Butter
- 1 cup White Chocolate Chips
- Gallon Storage Bag
- Cookie Sheet
- Microwaveable mixing bowls
- Wax or parchment paper
How to make this Valentine’s Day Puppy Chow
Mix white chocolate chips, butter, and peanut butter in a small bowl.
Melt in 30-second increments in the microwave until smooth.
Place Chex Mix in a large bowl. Pour melted mixture into Chex Mix and stir until evenly spread.
Take half of the mixture and place it in a gallon storage bag. Pour powdered sugar in the bag. Secure the bag and shake it until the Chex Mix is fully coated with sugar.
Pour it out of the bag and spread it on a cookie sheet with wax paper. Let dry for 15 – 20 minutes.
Meanwhile, mix the sprinkles and M&Ms in the other half of Chex Mix.
Combine with powdered sugar Chex Mix and Enjoy!
You now have a tasty Valentine’s Day Puppy Chow treat.
Place in treat bags, tie with a fun ribbon and consider placing a fun Valentine’s Day card with it.
