5 Simple Linen Closet Organization Tips
The bathroom linen closet organization doesn’t have to be complicated. The first step is to completely remove all the items from your closet and start with a blank canvas. I decided to tackle my bathroom closet and a hallway closet that turned into a junk closet. I still have a ways to go in the organization category, but I am happy to report I tossed a lot of junk out. Remember, the less you own, the less you have to organize!
Purge and declutter
Medicines – Toss out expired medication. I found one bottle from 2015! Yikes! Toss them out! Same with beauty products that may have found their way into your closet. I confess I sem
Beach Towels – I have way too many beach towels in my tiny linen closet. They take up a lot of space. I decided to keep two per person and donate the rest. I am storing them in my bedroom closet for now since there is more space and we don’t really need them right now.
Towels – Towels that felt like sandpaper went to my husband for cleaning up messes in the garage. I kept the towels we use while tossing out a few. My next goal is to purchase matching white towels. I can’t stand the mix-matched look, but it is what it is. I would like to get these white towels to create a cleaner look in my linen closet.
Cleaning supplies – I moved them to another spot in the house where I keep cleaning supplies.
Pair similar items
If space allows, consider putting mismatched items in baskets. I also love these antique pewter with copper handles wire baskets that could be used to store towels for a more uniformed and cleaner look.
Utilize shelf space
Maximize your shelf space with organizational tools. These shelf dividers can help you place more items on smaller shelves without looking like a mess.
Make the most out of the linen closet door
Hang towels using this over the door towel rack with hooks.
Got a bathrobe taking up valuable space? Use an over-door organizer hook to store your robe and grab it easily.
Store sets of sheets in corresponding pillowcases
Have bed sheets galore? Consider purging and only save one extra set per bed in the house. Then, store the sheets in corresponding pillowcases to save space in a closet. Need to save space with comforters? Try these storage bags that can also be used to store other household items such as toys and holiday decorations.
I hope you found these linen closet organization ideas useful. These hacks will make finding your towels and toiletries so much easier.
