Sleep is extremely important to me – which is funny because I am not getting much with a baby in the house. The little sleep I get has to be high quality sleep. I do not kid around about my bedding.
Have you heard of a Leesa Mattress? It’s an American-made foam mattress that is delivered directly to you. It’s essentially a compressed bed in a box.
About Leesa Mattress: A Bed in A Box
I would be lying to you if I said I didn’t laugh when the delivery guy dropped of the mattress on my front porch.
“There’s no way a king size mattress fit in that tiny box.” I joked with him.
He laughed confessing that he has delivered several of them.
I was skeptical mainly because the box itself was only a bit bigger than my daughter! But wait until you see the final product. It’s quite the transformation.
It’s what’s inside that counts
At first glance I was impressed how they were able to compress a king size mattress, but they did! What is even more impressive is that Leesa donates one mattress to a shelter for every ten they sell through their One-ten program (over 22,000 mattresses donated so far!).
What a transformation
We unrolled the mattress, opened it and let it sit for 24 hours which allows the mattress to fully expand to form.
And to my amazement the rolled up bed transformed into a fully functional king size foam mattress.
What makes a Leesa mattress unique?
I’ve never owned a foam mattress so I did not know what to expect. Leesa’s patented Universal Adaptive Feel™ is designed for all types of sleepers and features 3 premium foam layers:
- 2-inch Avena™ foam top layer for cooling and breathability
- 2-inch memory foam middle layer for body contouring and pressure relief
- 6-inch dense core support foam for durability and structure for sleepers of all sizes
An honest mattress review
It’s been a few weeks since we welcomed the Leesa mattress into our home. My husband and I are very picky about mattresses. At first, it took me some time to get used to having a foam mattress only because it was new to me. The foam smelled different; not bad but different. (It’s normal for foam mattresses to smell at first but then it goes away)
Nights passed and every morning my husband and I woke up asking each other what each other thought. Other than having a baby that wakes up throughout the night, we got good, quality sleep. If you prefer to sleep on firmer surfaces, foam mattresses may not be for you. Even though I love softer mattresses, my husband prefers them a little more firm.
What I loved about this mattress is that I never felt warm or hot since it has a cooling factor to it. Also, I never sank into the mattress.
Marriage is about compromise, so we are keeping it but putting it in a future guest room. I want to spoil our guests with a night of amazing sleep thanks to this crowd-pleasing mattress.
If you like foam mattresses, the Leesa mattress is the best premium foam mattress you can buy. Whether you’re a back, stomach, or side sleeper, the Leesa adapts to how you sleep.
Another perk about Leesa is that you can either try it before you buy at over 80 West Elm stores nationwide or try the mattress in your own home for 100 nights (risk-free!) with free shipping.
