This DIY grapefruit sugar scrub recipe is one of the easiest projects I’ve ever made. I recently attended my first Essential Oils make-and-take party and it was so much fun! Not only did I meet new moms, but I was able to make a few DIY projects including a Grapefruit Sugar Scrub that smells so great that I can’t wait to use what I created! I also love the Lavender Sugar Scrub we made too!
Disclaimer: I do not sell essential oils, nor do I claim to be an expert on them, but I do love the items that we made at a recent Essential Oils party and wanted to share them with you!
I am not a huge oil person (yet), but I do love the smells of them! I am learning more about their benefits from many of my girlfriends that swear by them. Below take a peek at this super easy sugar scrub recipe that you can make at home or at your next girls’ night in!
Grapefruit Sugar Scrub Recipe
Ingredients
1/2 cup sugar
3 tbsp. olive oil
8 drops of any Young Living citrus oil. I used Grapefruit for this one! (Tip: Make sure you do not splash the drops and rather tip the bottle over and patiently wait for the drops)
Directions
Mix ingredients together and store in only glass or stainless steel containers. Consider using these super cute Mason Jars for storage.
These make great gifts and you can customize them with your own decorative labels that fit any theme or holiday!
This is one of the easiest gifts you can make for someone and it smells/feels amazing! Feel free to make some for yourself. Treat yourself, I say!
You can use other citrus-scented oils to diversify your scrub collection. Have fun making your own sugar scrub and let me know how your experience went!
What’s your favorite sugar scrub scent? Anything made with sugar and oils is usually okay in my book!

I have a container of grapefruit sugar scrub and it’s one of my favorite things for extra-dry skin. When I run out, now I can make my own!

I have been invited to a few make & take essential oil parties, but have yet been able to go. I really want to. I hear so many great things about oils. This scrub sounds amazing. I love sugar scrub in general, but this concoction just sounds fabulous. And the mason jars are the perfect touch! Love this.

Love sugar scrub recipies! Olive oil, although a good moisturizer, has a high comedogenic rating and can clog pores. I would recommend using grapeseed oil.

Yours in the picture looks white, but mine looks the color of olive oil… I followed your measurements and I feel like the grapefruit scent is almost overpowered by the olive oil scent… ??

ok I have a question.. I just made a face scrub for the first time ever.. I used the correct amounts and all.. I used it and it left my skin feeling the olive oil more then anything.. I mixed it as directed.. it is my first time ever using a face scrub.. is this the way it is suppose to feel??
Laurie says
