Disclosure: We were not paid for this post. We attended a playdate on behalf of Hasbro, and were given a fun goodie bag as a Thank you!
When our family was invited to the Dallas #HasbroPlayDate, I was excited to see my daughter play with a slew of awesome Hasbro toys without having to worry about cleaning up the mess. We are in the process of selling our house, so most of her toys are sadly packed away.
Upon arriving, we were greeted by a life-size Mr. Potato Head. Immediately, Reese wasn’t too sure what to think of him. She got her first Mr. Potato Head a few weeks ago and loved to play with him. Granted, the toy is smaller and less intimidating.
Towards the end of the #HasbroPlayDate, Reese was waving at Mr. Potato Head and less scared of him. She still wouldn’t give him a hug, but that is okay… Baby steps… Sometimes I try to put myself in her shoes and I can understand why a large spud with eyes might make her a little anxious. ha ha (The things we put our children through!)
The playdate was complete with toys for all ages to play with including My Little Pony, Sesame Street, Transformers, Play-Doh, Mr. Potato Head, and many more toys. Kids got the red carpet treatment being able to get their hair done or face painted. It was a real treat and my little tot loved every minute of it. Not one toddler tantrum occurred! Not to mention this event was held during her nap time. Parenting win!
2015 Highlighted Hasbro Toys at the #HasbroPlayDate
Thank you Hasbro for hosting a wonderful playdate for not on my family to enjoy, but many other local bloggers that I absolutely love to follow. We had a great time, and good call for not scheduling it at the same time as the Cowboys game. We could have had a real dilemma on our hands.
What’s your favorite childhood toy memory? Does your child have a toy they can’t live without?
