This Fall on-the-go snack is sweet and hard to put down. Some people love the candy corn pieces in their Chex Mix while others simply put them to the side for someone else to enjoy. There’s no right or wrong way to make this mix. Everyone has a different opinion when it comes to their favorite items included in this recipe. Ingredients
- 1 cup butter melted
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 2 1/2 tablespoons Vanilla Extract
- 1 box Rice Chex (12 oz)
- 1 bag Bugles (7 oz)
- 5 cups Pretzels
- Reese’s Pieces (8 oz)
- 1 cup candy corn
Ingredient Notes
- Candy subsititions or additions – add Fall colored M&M chocolate candies or mellowcreme pumpkins.
Instructions
- First, preheat oven to 275 degrees.
- Then, melt the butter in microwave for 15 second increments until it’s melted.
- Add the brown sugar, vanilla extract and whisk together.
- In a large bowl, add the Chex, pretzels and Bugles.
5. Up next, pour the brown sugar sauce over the mixture and mix until it’s evenly coated.
6. Place mixture on two baking sheets (that are lined with parchment paper). Spread the mix in one even layer on each cookie sheet.
7. Bake for 45 minutes. Stir three times during the duration to allow all pieces to be baked evenly.
8. Finally, remove from heat. Allow the Fall Chex Mix to cool completely. Then, serve!
