Emojis are all the rage these days. It could be a different language.
Did you know there is a person who gets paid to translate emojis?
I use emojis quite a bit when texting. They are too fun not to use!
Raising tiny humans can be described using various emojis – happy, tired, exhausting and stressful. My daughter and I made DIY emoji stress balls.
The irony is this craft is not stressful to make. My daughter enjoyed it.
I loved it too until she accidentally bumped into the rice carton and it spilled everywhere!
Thank goodness for vacuums! Having fun can be messy.
How to make DIY Emoji Stress Balls
Funnel or card stock paper with tape to make a funnel
First, blow the balloons to full size and let air out. This helps stretch the balloon to better fill with rice later. If you don’t do this step, it won’t work. Trust me, I tried!
Using your funnel place the balloon end over the tip of the funnel piece. Pour the rice into the funnel filling the balloon full. Try to leave some space to tie the balloon. If you use too much rice then it will be hard to tie.
After the balloons are tied it’s time for the fun to start.
Using permanent markers, draw different emoji faces on them. We made two smily faces and one not amused face!
They are that easy to make!
This kids activity is a great way to talk about different emotions and how they make us feel. Once complete, use the stress balls to let out some steam during those hard and hectic days.
