DIY Halloween Fruit Cups are adorable, fun and easy to make. Plus, it’s one of the few times I can tell my daughter it’s okay to play with her food. Aren’t they clever? I didn’t want to eat them right away because they are so stinking cute.
The hardest part of making this simple Halloween treat is washing all the fruit before you serve. I say hard only because it can be time-consuming, but it’s definitely necessary!
However, washing the fruit is super simple when you have the fantastic GROHE Foot Control faucet.
Yes, you read that correctly and no you don’t need some sort of Halloween spell to make it happen.
With GROHE Foot Control Technology, you switch the water flow on and off with a tap of the foot on an activation plate installed discreetly in the toe space of the kitchen cabinet.
Perfect for times your hands are a mess and you don’t want to touch the faucet lever. (Think raw chicken and meat!)
GROHE Foot Control Technology allows your hands to be free to operate and potentially inhibit the spread of germs.
This innovative kitchen fixture is so easy to use I got my daughter in on the washing fun. With the locking push button control we were able to switch from regular flow to spray our grapes and cantaloupe for our spooky Halloween fruit cups.
Making Halloween Fruit Cups is Simple and Fun
- Clear mini plastic cups (Bonus points if you can find them with lids to pack in your child’s lunch boxes)
- Black permanent marker
- Various fruit: bananas, tangerines, grapes, cantaloupe
- Jumbo Marshmallows
First, wash fruits.
Fill clear cups with one fruit each using Jumbo Marshmallows or grapes for the eyeballs. The pumpkin and ghost fruit cups I only drew the eyes on the front.
Draw faces on front of clear cups using a permanent marker.
Optional: secure lid to top if you plan to eat them later.
These Halloween treats are great for snacking, Halloween parties, or to send with your child to school for a special surprise. Get your children in on the fun of making them.
See what they come up with. You never know where your child’s creativity will take them. While the kids are making fun Halloween fruit cups, I will be getting caught up on my dishes because washing them our GROHE kitchen faucet is much more bearable.
