A DIY Crayon Jar Teacher Gift is the perfect way to show appreciation to those who give so much to our children. Most of the time, I give teachers a gift card to a coffee shop or craft store, but this time I wanted to make a gift that would be unique and serve purpose.
This DIY crayon jar teacher gift can stay put on the teacher’s desk filled with candy, office supplies, and markers. The sky is the limit to what you want to fill the mason jar with. Place a gift card inside to add extra value to the gift.
How to make a DIY Crayon Jar Teacher Gift
Supplies
Candy, markers, pens, or gift cards. (Whatever supplies you would like to fill your mason jar with)
Craft Instructions
- Place Mason Jar on the side. Hot glue each crayon one by one in the center of the jar until it’s completely covered.
- Cut and tie a ribbon tight around the crayons.
- Fill the jar with treats!
It’s that easy to make!
The hardest part is making sure you don’t burn yourself with the hot glue. You must have patience as well gluing each crayon. I will say it was quite a stress reliever for me. I love crafting because it keeps your mind busy and you have an end product to be proud of as a result.
Other ways to make the DIY Crayon Jar Teacher Gift unique:
Consider gluing scrapbook paper on the jar first as a background, then glue the crayons over it.
Tie the jar with twine or tulle instead of a ribbon.
Place tall lollipops or flowers into the jar to add length to this project.
Glue a wooden apple to the front.
