How to make coffee cup ornaments
Coffee cup ornaments look so real you would almost want to drink them – but don’t because it’s not real coffee. The white caulking looks just like whipped cream. Keep reading to find out how to make your own adorable ornaments.
Supplies
- Mini red solo cup
- 1” styrofoam balls
- White caulking
- Piping bag with a 1A tip
- Paper straw
- Brown 3D paint
- Hot glue gun
- Bakers twine
Coffee Ornament instructions
- Glue two styrofoam balls into the cup.
- Fill the piping bag with caulking and pipe it onto the top of the cup in a swirl.
- Drizzle brown paint over the caulking. Use different colors of brown to make it look like chocolate and caramel.
- Cut a 1” piece from the straw and glue it to the top of the cup.
- Create a loop with baker’s twine and glue inside of the straw for hanging.
- Decorate with an embellishment on the cup if desired. I used a snowflake foam sticker for this ornament.
Craft Variations
- Trade out the snowflake sticker for other holiday foam stickers.
- Use a green straw to replace the red straw.
- Use a green solo cup instead of red for the base.
