Disney’s Nutcracker World Premiere happened earlier this week and what a magical event it was. Thanks to Disney Studios, I was able to get glammed and rub elbows with celebrities. It’s hard to explain what a red carpet experience is like, but I will try. The anticipation leading up to the premiere is unlike any other feeling. It’s a mixture of butterflies, excitement, and nervousness. My first red carpet experience was surreal and I had no clue what to expect. This time around I was more prepared.
Disney’s Nutcracker World Premiere
Each Disney premiere is unique in its self. The look, feel, food and fanfare are ever changing. That is what makes getting ready for a movie premiere so exciting. Upon arrival, you can feel the energy and excitement in the air. We lined up to take photos first in front of a floral wall that set the scene. Each blogger is paired with a photo buddy so we can quickly snap photos and move along for the other guests.
Disney’s Nutcracker World Premiere red carpet look
Before I go into the details of the night, here’s the details on my look. It’s surprising what you can do when you actually have time to get glam without small children begging for your attention. With an hour and a half to get ready, I pulled it together.
The Dress
My dress complemented the look and theme of the event perfectly. I couldn’t have planned it any better, but honestly, this was not the dress I had originally picked. My Rent the Runway dress delivered a few days before and sadly was way too long. In the eleventh hour, I was able to find the perfect dress that had pockets. See more below on where I found it. What I love about it is that I can wear it again at other events since it’s functional, classic and chic.
Dress – Nordstrom’s Rack Girl Meets Glam (It’s currently sold out, but this red carpet dress is available).
Shoes – Sam Edelman Strappy Sandal

Disney’s Nutcracker World Premiere Pre-Party
Disney’s Nutcracker Premiere Pre-Party was everything you could imagine. After I took my red carpet photos, I got pampered at one of the activities where they changed my hairstyle to fit the Land of Snowflakes, one of the fours realms in the movie. Yes, the glitter did take a few washes to get out, but it was a fun reminder of the night we had.
Once inside, the venue was transformed into a Nutcracker wonderland. As a former event planner, I can appreciate the attention to detail that goes into producing these events. They nailed the look but that is to be expected when it comes to Disney. Everything that touch is top-notch including the service. The food, drinks, and activities were amazing. Guests could get manicures with OPI Nutcracker nail polish and treat themselves to the candy bar. Believe me, I stocked up on candy to enjoy later at the movie.

Celebrity sightings at Disney’s Nutcracker Premiere
One of the best parts of attending a movie premiere pre-party is the possibility of running into celebrities. The first celebrity I ran into was none other than Mario Lopez. He was the nicest guy who does not age apparently.
Raven Symone was so cool she insisted she take our selfie which is great because I don’t have the best selfie arm believe it or not.
I’ve been watching Michael Fishman grow up on television for years on Roseanne. You can now catch him on The Conners.
I immediately recognized Meg Donnelly as Reese and I have watched Disney’s Zombies at least a thousand times. You can also catch her on American Housewives which is a hilarious show as well.
Mackenzie Foy, star of Disney’s Nutcracker, was so nice and beautiful! Perfect hairstyle to fit the movie if you ask me!
There were several celebrities that walked the red carpet but I did not take a photo with which is okay with me because I am still honored to be in the same room as them. Everyone looked their best and brought their A-Game. I simply can’t get enough of these looks.

After the pre-party, we walked to the El Captain Theatre where the experience continued. Less than a few rows back, I watched the film’s first release with many of these celebrities. It’s surreal when you think about it. Unfortunately, I don’t have a lot of photos from inside because phones are not allowed to be on during the film for obvious reasons. Take my word, it was amazing and I can’t wait to share my film review with you all.
