Looking for a special way to celebrate the holidays in North Texas? There might be an abundance of Christmas events in DFW to choose from, but there’s nothing quite like Christmas at the Anatole. It’s the perfect staycation for families to celebrate the holidays distraction-free. while you check off some holiday “to-dos” from your list. Plus, Peppermint Park is pure Christmas magic. Thank you Dallas Hilton Anatole for the complimentary stay in exchange for this review. All opinions are my own.
6 ways to sleigh Christmas at the Anatole in Dallas
There’s no shortage of fun at the Hilton Anatole. Here are my top things you must check out during your stay. There are limited tickets available for the public, but don’t miss your chance to stay overnight to experience Christmas at the Anatole Experience.
Peppermint Park is like taking a trip to the North Pole. It’s an outdoor holiday event with shows, games, activities, and crafts. This year, Peppermint Park includes a new Toy Shop Escape Room where children must solve clues and puzzles in 12 minutes to escape the toy room before their name is added to the Naughty List. Other activities include North Pole mini-putt golf, name that holiday tune, a snowman bouncy castle, and more.
Toy Shop Escape Room
My kids will tell you her favorite part of Peppermint Park was the train ride that took her throughout the venue. I definitely recommend doing this first so you can see all that the event has to offer.
Families can discover shows such as the Holiday Marionette Show seen below. Other performances include a Talking Christmas Tree and a Penguin Show.
Letters to Santa
Kids can write a letter to Santa and mail it to the North Pole at the Peppermint Park official postal outlet.
Pictures with Santa
Be sure to mark off the annual Santa picture to-do from your holiday list while you’re at Peppermint Park. Pictures with Santa are first-come, first-serve, and the backdrop is one of the prettiest I have encountered—I absolutely love how our photos came out. Pricing depends on which print or digital package you choose, and they’ll print your photo while you’re enjoying the park festivities. Santa hangs out here in front of this beautiful tall Christmas Tree.
Holiday Movie Night
Once you leave Peppermint Park, change into your jammies and make your way to the ballroom for movie night. The Hilton Anatole provides blankets and pillows so you can get cozy while watching a family-friendly movie. The featured movie changes regularly, and there’s freshly popped popcorn, candy, and snacks to enjoy.
The holiday movie is a great way to relax after Peppermint Park! It also gave me time to do some online shopping, including the presents my kids put on their letters to Santa at Peppermint Park.
Breakfast with Santa
Don’t miss out on the opportunity to have breakfast with Santa! Nothing can compare to having a breakfast meal with the Big Guy himself. While you’re eating, Mr. & Mrs. Claus take pictures with families before reading a story by the Christmas tree. My daughter couldn’t quit smiling once he entered the room. The breakfast buffet offers items both adults and kids enjoy, and the custom hot chocolate and coffee bar was a hit with our entire family. There’s also a craft table where you can make tree ornaments if you still have time.
The Breakfast With Santa & Mrs. Claus Hotel Package* includes:
- One Standard Guest Room (*Late checkout at 1 p.m. is included.)
- Breakfast With Santa for up to two adults & two kids (additional breakfast tickets may be purchased at the front desk upon arrival)

Geppetto’s Marionette Theater
Located inside the Hilton Anatole, Geppetto’s is a holiday experience you won’t want to miss! Geppetto’s Marionette Theater’s holiday show features a cast of over 60 hand-carved marionettes. Children will delight as they meet the Winter Wizard, the North Pole dancing elves, the magic toys of Santa’s workshop and a whole host of other holiday favorites, including Rudolph and Frosty.
The Dallas Anatole is a large luxury hotel. Take time to explore the venue. Stumble upon magnificent holiday decor and impressive art that you can only find at the Anatole. There’s plenty of fun photo opportunities so make sure you have your camera handy.
Every time we visit the Hilton Anatole, we have enjoyed delicious food whether it’s at the bar, room service, SER or Jadewaters. Peppermint Park offers delicious seasonal treats like cookies and cocoa. My favorite sweet treat was the S’mores Cone!
My favorite restaurant is the swank Media Grill + Bar located in the Grand Atrium. It’s a casual restaurant that offers an array of beers, cocktails and contemporary American cuisine for lunch, and dinner. Our stay concluded with the satisfying breakfast buffet meal with Santa. The perfect way to leave happy and with full tummies.
Did I mention how thrilled I was to not cook or clean for the whole two days?
