Thank you Arlington CVB for inviting me to your Arlington for the Holidays Fam Tour. Now I can share this great information with our readers!
Arlington, Texas may come to your mind when you think Dallas Cowboys or Texas Rangers. It’s true that this city located between Fort Worth and Dallas is a sports mecca. However, when you dig deeper and start to explore Arlington, Texas you may find this busy city is more like a hidden gem complete with character and personality for families alike – especially during the holiday season.
There is not a shortage of holiday events. See for yourself.
In a perfect dream world, I would have explored all of these wonderful events, but in due time and I can always bring my family back.
For our fam tour the Arlington CVB showed us a highlight reel of Arlington holiday happenings. Isn’t our group so fun?
Arlington holiday happenings you must check out
Here you can find a variety of popular retail stores and restaurants including Boomerjack’s where I scarfed down their sweet potato fries with cinnamon seasoning in four minutes flat. Hey, the baby was hungry and they were so delicious. (P.S. I am pregnant if you didn’t know. Don’t get my belly confused for a food belly although that is possible too!)
We visited Sunglass Hut, Loft, Bath and Body Works (hello, Soap sale!)
Don’t let this busy, bustling city fool you. They also have a quant and unique Downtown area that has huge potential to grow and thrive. We visited Division Brewing & Cosmic Crow Collective. Both were both hits with our group and not your typical big box stores or restaurants.
Division Brewing has over 15 beers on tap at all time including the Christmas morning brew that has coconut, chocolate, and coffee flavors throughout.
With a unique collection of art and items ranging from apothecary supplies to upcycled and recycled goods, Cosmic Crow truly offers something different.
November 25th – December 23rd
Celebrate the season German style with shopping, great food, and lots more fun for everyone in the market’s 6thyear in the Arlington Entertainment District. Inspired by cherished German tradition, this family-friendly market features a unique shopping experience for holiday gifts, decorations and one-of-kind finds. Plus, FREE admission, parking and live music!
The Peppermint Park is perfect to grab a s’more cone, hot chocolate and take a snow tube ride down the hill. They have several kids activities, a train ride and live entertainment.
November 19th – January 1st
Although we didn’t get to visit Six Flags during our tour, it’s a big deal during the holidays. You can catch millions of lights lighting up the sky at Six Flags Over Texas’ Holiday in the Park. Guests can slide down Frosty’s snow hill. Don’t forget the delicious food. The Arlington CVB staff recommends the roasted nuts and the Cowboy Burrito—meat, cheese and potatoes made right in front of you!
I hope that you will consider Arlington, Texas for your next holiday getaway whether that is with your family or significant others. There is definitely not a shortage of activity happening in Arlington.
Cheers! and thank you Arlington CVB for showing off your city with pride and passion! We will definitely be back!
