Easy Paloma Cocktail recipe
- Prep time: 5 minutes
- Yields: 1 drink
What do you need to make the best paloma cocktail?
This popular cocktail doesn’t require a handful of ingredients. Simply gather a few ingredients including fresh juice, tequila, and sparkling water to create a tasty paloma drink. Consider using 100% agave silver, or blanco tequila for the crispest flavor. Don’t skip out on fresh lime juice as it will boost the citrus flavors.
Which tequilas are best for making a Paloma?
When it comes to choosing a tequila for your Paloma cocktail, it’s important to look for a tequila that is 100% agave. It’s a great choice! This means that the tequila is made entirely from the agave plant, rather than a blend of agave and other sugars. Here are some good options to find the best tequila to use in a Paloma:
- Blanco tequila: This type of tequila is unaged and has a pure, clean flavor that pairs well with the citrus and grapefruit flavors in a Paloma.
- Reposado tequila: Aged for a short period of time (usually between two and 12 months), this tequila has a slightly more complex flavor profile that adds depth to the cocktail.
- Añejo tequila: This aged tequila has a smoother, more refined flavor that can be a good option for a more upscale Paloma.
Some popular tequila brands to consider include Espolon, El Tesoro, Casamigos, and Don Julio. Keep in mind that the type and quality of tequila you choose will impact the overall flavor of your Paloma, so it’s worth experimenting to find the one that you think has the best flavor.
