Teachers are definitely heroes; sometimes overlooked and under-appreciated. Great teachers care for our kids with love, patience, and grace. I try my best to thank my daughter’s teachers on a daily basis because I know how challenging it can be to teach young children – especially those that are preschoolers. (I used to teach preschool). This week is Teacher Appreciation Week. Normally, I would go all out and spend a ton of money on her teacher. Not this year simply because she has four teachers for her class. Right now we are on a budget, so I had to think of something that was budget-friendly, special, and an item that teachers would actually use.
Say hello to the Hands Down Teacher Appreciation Gift. So simple and easy to make!
There are pre-made printables online, but we decided to hand write our note. This added a homemade feel to the hands down teacher appreciation gift.
How to make a Hands Down Teacher Appreciation Gift
Supplies:
Scissors
Pencil

Hand soap (We got these on sale from Bath and Body Works)
One Hole Punch
Ribbon
Instructions
Trace your child’s hands using a pencil on white cardstock. Repeat this step as many times as you need.
Cut out hands using scissors.
Punch a hole in the palm of the hand.
Tie the hand around the neck of soap with ribbon. Curl the ends using scissors.
Handwrite the words, “Hands Down You’re the Best Teacher Around!” (My daughter’s hands are little so I ran out of room to write the entire sentence but you get the idea!)
