Let’s face it, giving a giftcard can make you feel like a gift-giving failure even though most people prefer receiving them. Trying to avoid feeling that way, I came up with a creative and unique way to give a giftcard for Christmas to my daughter’s preschool teachers. She has collectively 6+ teachers (WOW!) and I had to create something that did not break the bank, but looked like I put some effort into them. I immediately thought of creating a gift with mason jars, but wasn’t quite sure how until I found a wide enough mason jar that could fit a giftcard inside.

A Fun and Unique Way to Give a Giftcard for Christmas
Chocolate and coffee came to mind as anyone who works with children can appreciate. I purchased Starbucks giftcards, holiday M&M’s, Lifesaver Peppermints and wide mouth Mason Jars to create a thoughtful gift idea that anyone will enjoy.
For photography purposes, I left the lids off, but I did place the lid on before I gave them to her teachers. I made sure to tell them that there another treat inside the candy for them to enjoy just in case they were trying to avoid eating candy during the holidays – which would be crazy but I can understand since they are getting a ton of gifts from other kids.
Needless to say, I received an email later that day from one of her teachers saying they were already half way through it, so I would say these gifts are a success and put a fun spin on giving giftcards for a Christmas gift. It shows that you put a little bit more effort into the gift than buying it at the cashier stand during your grocery shopping trip. If you do that though, don’t kick yourself either because we are all busy and doing the best we can during the holidays. It’s the thought that counts, right?
What do you think teachers really want to Christmas? What easy and creative gift ideas do you give to others?
