Life is so busy right now with the holidays and keeping up with a preschooler! Sometimes it can be very tempting to go to the drive-thru when you don’t have the energy or time to cook for your family. I have definitely been tempted since I was so tired from the first trimester. Plus, food did not appeal to me at all thanks to nausea. I am finally starting to get my appetite back, but there are still some things I shy away from. One of those things is meat. Some days I love it and other days I can’t stomach the thought of eating such. I have been incorporating meatless entrees throughout the week, but did you know about Meatless Monday?
What is Meatless Monday?
Founded in 2003, Meatless Monday was created with the thought that by skipping meat one day a week it’s good for you, great for your nation’s health, and better for the planet.
How can I plan my Meatless Mondays?
I don’t necessarily have a lot of time to research meatless meals as I am sure you don’t either. Thanks to Pinterest and Google a simple search can narrow down recipes for you when you are meal planning. Another option for Meatless Monday is to purchase MorningStar Farms® Veggie Bowls at Walmart for less than $5 a meal.
You can find all the veggie bowls including Chik’n Pot Pie, Chik’n Tikka Masala, Italian Sausage Bake, Japanese Soba Noodles, Moroccan Medley in the Healthy Entrees aisle in the frozen section of Walmart.
MorningStar Veggie Bowls are the perfect way to help you get veggies in even when you’re busy! In less than 5 minutes, you can serve a completely meatless entree to your family.
Made with 100% vegan Chik’n Strips, Steak Strips and Veggie Sausage Crumbles™, these Veggie bowls are delicious!
MorningStar Farms Veggie Bowls are not only for vegetarians—they are for everyone. They are great for families, busy working people, and general health-conscious people.
