I wish I was a morning person, but I am not. Can I just say that I feel like the most stressful time of my day is the morning right before my kids go to school? To think that I struggled getting ready in the morning for work pre-kids is laughable.
There are so many tasks to be done and things to remember before heading out the door to start our day. By nature, I am a list person. It may seem silly to make a list of basic things that we should automatically do (i.e. get dressed), but to children they need an extra boost to accomplish such tasks. Obviously, my preschooler can not read yet. However, once she does read I can teach her independence by following the directions in that order.
Until that day comes, it’s a great reminder for me to make sure she takes her vitamin daily and we don’t forget her lunch. Don’t laugh! I have forgotten her lunch before. It happens. Don’t judge.
I want to start healthy routines that she can take with her throughout her life.
One week after introducing vitamins to my daughter, she continues to beg me for more vitamins. I kindly remind her that is too many for one day and then she gets over it. I tell her we can look forward to having one daily.
