It’s that time of year where we celebrate the Big Game with family and friends!
What if there was a way to mix delicious food with a lesson for your kids?
Lucky for you, there is! I created a Goldfish® activity for kids that accomplishes just that. Before we get to the fun football game that my daughter loved, let’s talk about Goldfish crackers and how they make the perfect snack to serve to guests during game day.
It is the the Snack That Smiles Back®. We can never get enough of Goldfish in our family, so I was thrilled to see Target now sells them in bulk in the rear seasonal section. (It was located near the milk aisle at our local Target)
With the Target Cartwheel 10% offer you can purchase Goldfish Cheddar 30 oz. Cartons, Xtra Cheddar Flavor Blasted Goldfish 30 oz. Cartons and Goldfish Mix Xtra Cheddar/Pretzel 34 oz. Cartons at an even lower price than they’re already marked as.
How to play the Game Day Goldfish Activity

Find a dice from another game that you have and use the Goldfish crackers as game pieces.
My daughter was the Goldfish Cheddar 30 oz. Carton flavor while I was the Goldfish Mix Xtra Cheddar/Pretzels 34 oz. Carton flavor.
Place the Goldfish “Game Pieces” towards the left of the football field. Roll the dice to see how many spaces you move each turn. The first Goldfish to the right of the football field (also known as the end zone) wins the game.
It’s super simple! Don’t let the simplicity of this game scare you from playing because my daughter was begging to play it over and over.
I asked her how many moves she had to make based on how many dots were facing up on the dice. This game is perfect for improving number recognition and counting. It also improves your child’s fine motor skills.
A huge bonus was being able to snack on the game pieces. I admit I ate my game piece immediately after my round. It was so tempting to eat it during the game. Good thing I had a bowl of them nearby. Talk about a win-win for parents and kids.
This fun football themed game isn’t the only way you can get creative with your child this winter. Right now you can enter to win $5000 with your child by creating your own Goldfish Tales Animation Xperience at GoldfishSmiles.com.
